Writing tutors hold sessions to offer feedback that allows you to take the next step in your studies. For math help, tutors circulate throughout the room to clarify concepts for algebra, trigonometry, and calculus.


› One-on-One Tutoring

Stop by 68 PLC to request a list.

TLC’s database is a great source for finding tutors for language courses. Beginning the second week of the term, we’ll provide contact information, then you make the arrangements. Fees range $12 -14 per hr. for lower-division and $14-16 per hr. for upper-division courses. 68 PLC.


› Small-Group Tutoring

Available fall, winter and spring terms.

Groups of six or fewer students meet two hours per week in 68 PLC, beginning the second week each term. Stop by TLC in 68 PLC as soon as possible to discuss your eligibility with Kim Lilley, TLC Tutor Coordinator. Assignments are made on a first-come, first-serve basis, and space is limited.

If you need assistance in courses other than those listed above, registry printouts are available that list qualified tutors and their telephone numbers. There is no charge for this printout.

**Also, in addition to tutorial support, Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) offers several other services, without charge, useful to students who would like to strengthen their academic performance: non-credit workshops, math and writing labs, individual conferences with study skills specialists, or the Student Support Services program.
